About Chat on the Hill
Malorie Leach, MS, CCC-SLP
I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee with a concentration in aural habilitation with emphasis on early intervention, language, literacy and deaf and hard-of-hearing populations. I hold clinical competencies through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and I am licensed in Washington, D.C.
Additionally, I have continued my studies at Gallaudet University, immersing myself in Deaf culture while becoming conversationally proficient in American Sign Language.
My work in public elementary schools has earned a highly effective rating each year of my tenure. In the school setting, I gained experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including: articulation, phonological disorders, expressive/receptive language delays, written language and cochlear implants and/or hearing aids.
In my free time, I enjoy checking out the local farmer’s market, bike-sharing around the city and staying nerdy by reading the most recent research and consistently implementing evidence-based strategies into my practice.
