Congratulations on reaching your final semester before completing your graduate studies at USF. You have several steps to finish your journey as a Bull: apply for graduation, ETD certification, and attend Commencement.
Apply to Graduate
You must apply for graduation in your final semester. To receive your diploma and have graduation reflected on your transcript, you must apply through Student Self-Service before the university deadline.
ETD Process
You must submit your master鈥檚 thesis or doctoral dissertation to the Electronic Thesis & Dissertation (ETD) office for approval, if your degree program requires one. The ETD Resource Center is designed to be your guide to navigating the ETD Process from registering to submission and formatting requirements.
Commencement
In order to ensure that your name appears in the Commencement program, you must apply on or before the priority graduation deadline date. Participation in Commencement is optional, whereas you must officially apply for graduation, which is required. Read through important information provided by the Office of Commmencment to ensure a smooth grad experience and departure from the university.
